Follow Friday Helper, #FF, @ffhelper and Patient Satisfaction

Patient satisfaction is the “new” goal for healthcare based on the Affordable Care Act. Of course, doctors have always worked hard to heal and satisfy their patients. Patient satisfaction takes on a whole new meaning, however, when you are paid better for satisfying patients.

Studies show that patients feel better about physicians that care about their patients and express that care. After all, don’t you like when people remember you and say nice things about you? Follow Friday Helper makes acknowledging your patients easy.

Your days are busy and you don’t have a lot of time for social media. One of the best things about Follow Friday Helper is that this is one social media function that you can delegate. One of your nurses or front office staff members can operate Follow Friday Helper for you. You will have to be have logged in to your Twitter account for them to sign into Follow Friday Helper for you.

That shouldn’t be a large risk, in my humble opinion (IMHO), otherwise why would you have them dealing with your patients at all?

Follow Friday Helper gives you several reason to give somebody recognition.
  •  Retweets (RT) received
  •  RT sent
  •  Mentions
  •  Favorites
  •  Recommendations received
  •  All
I recommend that you select “All”. Why overlook an opportunity to rekindle a relationship? Just click your patient’s Twitter handle on whatever category you choose and they will be added to a tweet to your followers.

You can use Follow Friday Helper any day of the week as #FF is more of a recommendation then a demand. Here are some examples of the twitter types that you can use:
  •  #FollowFriday
  •  #ff
  •  #ThankYou
  •  #TY
  •  #Gratitude
  •  #Top
  •  #FollowSaturday
  •  #FollowSunday
  •  #FollowMonday
  •  #FollowTuesday
  •  #FollowWednesday
  •  #FollowThursday
  •  #FollowNow
  •  #FollowEveryDay
  •  #MustFollow
  •  #FollowerOfTheDay

You will need to remember that you are limited to 140 characters as your followers grow. I always like to leave at least 10 characters available. That way someone can Retweet or Favorite one of my Mentions.

Here is some of the #FF’s that I tweeted while writing this column.

“#FollowFriday PhySource Solutions @sarasteinmd @subatomicdoc @trippbraden @ffhelper @shiftyourlife @mdcareerpaths (via @ffhelper)”
