Two New Trends In Website Design

We've spoken about the importance of making your site accessible to mobile users before. Mobile is in, desktops are out. The faster you adjust your site to fit the needs of mobile viewers, the less likely your site will be left behind. Here are two trends in mobile web designs.

Grid Layout

The grid has become a popular design choice for many websites. Why? For one thing, the layout is simplified and modern. It gives the viewer more information, yet in a format that's also easy on the eyes. Users like the grid because it creates a structure that is clear and easy to understand. Mobile users need small enough images to see a selection of images and choices, rather than having to select new pages. A grid layout could work wonders for your site, just remember to have quality images to back up the format.

Scrolling Sites

Page scrolling used to be the mark of an old fashioned website. Now, touch-friendly sites are embracing the function to bring users into an animated dimension on their website. A scrolling site with transitioning graphics gives the viewer stimulation, information, and simplification all in one swoop. More importantly, it makes your site modern. In a world well a company's usefulness is determined by how technologically advanced its site it, this could be a huge advantage over your competitors.
