FedEx Mobile is the No-Fuss Way to Track Your Important Shipments

When was the last time a meeting or transaction had to be put on hold because a critical shipment containing a single, contract, or other vital contents arrived late or was lost altogether? Aside from the professional sphere, how often have you been inconvenienced because a package for your spouse, child, distant relative, or even you got lost?

None of us want to get on the phone to check up on a delivery in limbo, and few of us have the time to hop on a computer or even search for a shipping company's mobile site, so FedEx has enabled Android users to track and organize their shipments with a few easy taps.

With a rating of four out of five stars in the Android market, it’s easy to see why this FedEx app is getting so many downloads. Its overall quality is rooted in offering users maximum amount of useful and relevant information for minimal effort, and without a lot of flashiness or filler (a concept my Los Angeles website design clients and employees know all about).

To check on a shipment's status, just log into the app (Yes, every time you sue it, but that's the only major user gripe so far.) and type in the tracking number. No need to hunt down a mobile site or remember your separate FedEx login. The clean layout shows your current shipment, and lets you engage in more hands-on shipment preparation to prevent delays and lack of information on the sender or recipient's part. Make shipping labels, get quotes, find and save addresses, get immediate shipping notifications, and keep your shipment history on file for reference. You can also nickname and group them into watch lists so a quick glance shows you specifics instead of just a bunch of letters and numbers bleeding together.

FedEx Mobile is available for free download from the Android marketplace for Droids 2.2 and up.
