Zip Through File Conversion with Zamzar

How many times have your correspondences and projects run into inconvenient delays because an important file was sent to recipients in a format they were unable to open? This not only creates bothersome holdup with frequently time-sensitive matters, it can make both the sender and recipient look inefficient and technologically behind-the-times.

However, there are so many varieties of files that different individual users have come to prefer, this situation is sort of inevitable. In my Los Angeles website design company, we use the most standard, current, and widely accepted forms of images, documents, and videos, but we sure encounter our fair share of tricky, lesser known file formats. For this reason, Zamzar is an online application that everyone should be aware of.

There are certainly programs and software for converting files to more easily accessible formats, but they are often costly nuisances to install and learn. Furthermore, why take up more space on your PC when you can simply enter files into an online tool like Zamzar and have them converted with minimal effort and no charge. Zamzar can process songs, videos (3g2, avi, m4v, mpg, vob, and wmv), documents (csv, doc, docx, odp, pdf, rtf, wps, xls, and more), images (jpeg, gif, bmp, png, tiff, and yes, more).

Along with the lengthy list of file types that Zamzar can tackle, no download, registration, or even login is required to use it. Simply go to its homepage, and choose whether you want to Download Videos, or Convert, Send, or Manage Files. To get conversion started, just upload the file, choose the desired format, provide your email, and agree to terms to have it converted and sent to you. Video conversion is even simpler as all you need do is plug in its URL and click. Zamzar can also handle compressed formats. Users of Open Office especially like Zamzar as the former program cannot open Publisher documents and other types of files.
