Create A Win-Win Strategy With Your App

Out of all the newest design developments we've seen at LADezign, some of the most entertaining come from apps. Apps are universally liked like companies and mobile users, because they provide a simplified, and often delightful, way to keep up with a company and/or organization's news.

One of the apps that have delighted us this year is Viggle. Viggle has a very simple premise and is very easy to use. Basically, a user watches their favorite television shows by just checking in to Viggle. Once you do that, you get Viggle points. Then, if they so choose, a user can tweet and share on Facebook, check into show related social media etc etc. Once a user has collected a certain amount of Viggle points, they can either redeem them for rewards from top brands or donate the points to charity. This, in our opinion, is an app creating a situation that all business owners should strive for: A win-win solution. Users get free products by using an app that required very little of them, and Viggle get's more visibility and a group of users that have real incentive to spread word about them on social media.

Businesses can take the example of Viggle without having to follow the same strategy. In fact, every company should look to create their own win-win idea for their app. The real meat of the matter is this: What can you provide your consumer base that will give them as much gain from your app as you will from them using it? Could it be an app that let's a user have fun with a game, or with trivia? Will it give the user savings that they can use to their advantage? Will it provide them a reason to promote an app to other users in your base?
Thanks for reading. Jason.
